Hi-Lo Card Counting Trainer – Support

About

Hi-Lo Card Counting Trainer is an educational app designed to help you master the Hi-Lo card counting system — the most widely used method in blackjack. Practice across five difficulty levels, track your accuracy over time, and build real casino-ready skills.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the counting system work?

The Hi-Lo system assigns a value to each card: low cards (2–6) = +1, neutral cards (7–9) = 0, high cards (10–A) = -1. You keep a running total in your head as cards are dealt. A high positive count means the remaining deck favors the player.

What are the difficulty levels?

Beginner: 3 seconds per card, 20 cards
Intermediate: 2 seconds per card, 30 cards
Advanced: 1 second per card, 40 cards
Expert: 0.5 seconds per card, 51 cards
Multi-Deck: 2 decks, 104 cards — real casino conditions

What is the True Count?

The True Count adjusts the running count based on the number of decks remaining. Divide your running count by the estimated number of decks left in the shoe. This gives a more accurate picture of your advantage at the table.

How is my accuracy score calculated?

During each session, the app checks your running count 5 times at random moments. Your score is based on how close your answers are to the correct count at each checkpoint.

Can I check my count manually?

Yes. You can tap to check your count at any time. Manual checks do not affect your accuracy score — only the 5 automatic random checks count toward your final result.

Does the app work offline?

Yes. The app works 100% offline. No internet connection is required at any time.

Is card counting legal?

Card counting is a legitimate mental skill and is not illegal. Casinos may ask players to stop or leave if they suspect counting, but it is not a criminal offense. This app is for educational purposes only.

The app is not responding or crashing — what should I do?

Try closing and restarting the app. If the issue persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling. Make sure your iOS version is up to date.
